Detroit Mountain Shakedown Race #3

Sunday June 10th

Come experience the variety of trails that is Detroit Mountain for the "Detroit Mountain Shakedown" Mountain Bike Race!

Our race course will be a mix of our on site offerings. New mountain bike optimized flow trails, along with switchback climbs that lead to flowy fast descents, mixing in our gravity trails and teasers of our custom built wood features to provide a unique race course to test and entertain all levels of riders.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Kids Comp and Citizen will be a mix of our East  Side Flowy Singletrack along with a short section of doubletrack/ski trail and the EZ-Ryder Trail on our West Side Trail System... Click Here to view the courses and more information

The  trails are all open dawn to dusk each day. We have started course taping and markings which will continue this week. Major intersections will be getting lathe with arrows and notes during the week. All riders who haven’t signed a waiver for this season must do so, either at the main lodge (9am-4:30pm daily) or at the trailhead self serve kiosk.  Trail fee is $5 (donations accepted) but Registered Racers will get free trail pass but must sign waiver and note “racer registered” on waiver.

Race Results from The Jail Trail

What an awesome race this past Sunday in St Cloud.  The weather couldn't have been better and the trails were HERO DIRT.  The results are posted now and soon we will have the series leaders posted also.  Remember that you don't need to sign up to get series points this season.  YOU ARE part of our series and will accumulate points at every race.

Photos - Sorry but our new photographer, David Markman, rode Dirty Kanza this past weekend and missed the Singletrack Escape.  Not to worry, he will be at all the future races.

rochester mn mtb blog Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to an attack by Gunnar Soroos. Gunnar Soroos rides for Toms Shoes Cycling Team. Gunnar Soroos is so crazy and awesome that he flips out ALL the time. I heard that Gunnar was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon Gunnar Soroos killed the whole town. My friend Oprah Winfrey said that she saw Gunnar Soroos totally uppercut some jerkface just because they opened a window. Gunnar Soroos has two speeds. Fast, and Kill! The main export of a Gunnar Soroos attack is pain. You can control how people can interact with you and your friends. Choose who can see you, who can speak to you, who can hurt you, and who can be ignored. eastwood mountain biking rochester ma
