The Border Crossing

SUNDAY! July 9th

Online Registration Closes Tonight at 8:00pm

Update : Rush River Brewing will give you a $1 off your post race Pint when you show your Race number plate.

This years Border Crossing at White Tail Ridge in River Falls Wisconsin will be a barn burner with some great racing, fun folks, and a new crew of Kids Comp riders showing off their new racing kits from St Croix Valley Youth MTB Club!

The White Tail Ridge course will again challenge every type of rider. With a great mix of fast-flowing single track, roots and rocks, fast downhill sections, wide open fields, leg scorching climbs and our own signature elevated wooden berm. Whitetail Ridge is fast-becoming a Twin Cities favorite for riders looking for an ever-evolving challenge. Each race course is tailored to meet the ability level of racers, yet pose a challenge to keep things interesting. Whether it's a leg-churning climb or fun flowing downhill you crave, the trails at Whitetail Ridge will serve up something for everyone.

The race has evolved over the past years into a great community fund-raising campaign in which the local mountain bike club, Kinnickinnic Off-Road Cyclists (KORC) use 100% of the race proceeds to either build and maintain new trails at Whitetail Ridge along with promoting other mountain biking opportunities in the Twin Cities metro and St. Croix River Valley.

There will be rough on-site camping for those that wish to stay at the venue for the weekend and there are also a few great hotels very close by. River Falls and Hudson have an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars.

Minnesota Mountain Bike Series Board
Is seeking new committee members.

The MNMTBS is expanding and we want to add a few passionate mountain bikers to our leadership group.  We are currently seeking the following members;
  • Finances and taxes
  • Sponsorship / fund raising
  • Safety & course vetting
  • Two social media posters
  • Two general volunteers for administrative tasks
The driving force for the MNMTBS is to promote mountain bike racing and provide a sustainable structure for local races. The MNMTBS is a non-profit organization and run by volunteers. Each role is structured so that it is not an overwhelming amount of time commitment, and all of our members find it very rewarding.   It is important that we continue to provide racing opportunities for families long into the future and therefore we need to add volunteers to our ranks.  If you are excited about mountain biking and want to explore this opportunity please contact us at

rochester mn mtb blog Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to an attack by Gunnar Soroos. Gunnar Soroos rides for Toms Shoes Cycling Team. Gunnar Soroos is so crazy and awesome that he flips out ALL the time. I heard that Gunnar was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon Gunnar Soroos killed the whole town. My friend Oprah Winfrey said that she saw Gunnar Soroos totally uppercut some jerkface just because they opened a window. Gunnar Soroos has two speeds. Fast, and Kill! The main export of a Gunnar Soroos attack is pain. You can control how people can interact with you and your friends.
