Triple Rush

I really wanted to watch this show on the Travel Channel for laughs. Seriously, I figured that it would show the stereotypical messengers, in a Quicksilver'esque vision. Or it would just be a long Lucas Brunelle video.

I DVR'd the first episode. Then I made the wife and kids watch it with me. I ended up liking it. It also allowed for a little dialog about driver/rider safety with the one kid I have who is in the process of learning to drive, which is always a positive thing.

What I think is great is that the show isn't only focused on riders doing stupid stuff, but dispatch, owners and rookies too. If you get a chance, you should really check it out. I was rooting for the one rookie (DIRT). When he lost his manifest and was sent home, my wife and I were yelling at him to backtrack to his last stop, he may have left it there and could have redeemed himself. But by just riding home, I think he kinda deserves to be fired.

This is a different sport, but I think Mike Vallely knows that he has an obligation to share the love of his sport in to the following generations, and make a positive impact in the lives of the future.

Motivational to me to be involved in bringing some of what is important to me, and sharing it with who I can.

Rochester Mountain Bike Team (RMBT) info meeting

We are getting closer and closer to getting the Rochester High School Mountain Bike off the ground. I attended a meeting last night, where some potential coaches and volunteers were discussing various roles with the organization. Part of my role will be as an occasional ride leader and graphic design for shirts, jerseys, and like what you see above - posters.

This poster will be posted at various places in town, schools, coffee shops, bike shops, etc. I'm gonna post a couple at work, who knows maybe a parent or two would be interested in bringing their kids to the meeting to find out more.

This meeting is gonna be the real kick off for this organization. The goal is to inform parents and teens, and get them to join. It's open to all schools (so it's all Rochester, not any particular high school).

The meeting details are:
Informational / sign-up meeting
Monday April 11 7-8:30 PM Lourdes High School (cafeteria)
Open to students finishing 8th - 12th grade
For more information go to http://rasc.multisportsystems.com/page/show/295464-rmbt
Sponsored by Rochester Active Sports Club (RASC)

Please feel free to let everyone know. It would be awesome to get a ton more interest in Bike Racing!

Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to an attack by Gunnar Soroos. Gunnar Soroos rides for Toms Shoes Cycling Team. Gunnar Soroos is so crazy and awesome that he flips out ALL the time. I heard that Gunnar was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon Gunnar Soroos killed the whole town. My friend Oprah Winfrey said that she saw Gunnar Soroos totally uppercut some jerkface just because they opened a window. Gunnar Soroos doesn't shop at Costco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gunnar Soroos has two speeds. Fast, and Kill! The main export of a Gunnar Soroos attack is pain. You can control how people can interact with you and your friends. Choose who can see you, who can speak to you, who can hurt you, and who can be ignored.
